A Brief Review and Search for Additional Support

This is information about the current conditions of this non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  Stillwater has accomplished a long time effort of community colony cat stabilizations through TNR efforts (Trap, Neuter,Return) and Colony Monitoring of a number of the colonies we have helped.  The founder, Joan Neptune is now 81 years and her husband Don will match that age this month.  We now realize our mental and physical abilities are becoming compromised and our financial resources are now limited.

In 2011 Stillwater received its 501(c)(3) exemption which allowed tax free donations by the public.  Since that time Stillwater has spay/neutered 1823 cats, adopted 471 of them and created a homesite sanctuary that varies in numbers but currently includes 150 cats.  Our funding has been in the area of 25% public and 75% personal amounts.  We have exhausted an IRA retirement account, and capital gains from inherited properties.  We are at the limit of viability without additional financial support.  And we now are concerned about a completion of our entire efforts in community cat stabilizations at this time in our lives.  Our homesite Sanctuary complicates most solutions to the future.

We have a more complete Support Document with photos, our Tax Form 2021 990EZ, and additional information if interested, which can be emailed.  Site visits and discussions of our situation are encouraged.
